The days are getting longer, warmer and sunnier which means summer is right around the corner! It is always an exciting time of year as we take a little more time to enjoy the outdoors, spend more time with family and hopefully manage to squeeze in a summer vacation.
Let’s be real.
I don’t know about you, but the first couple of weeks of summer are always like, “Ahhh, it’s summer! How beautiful to enjoy a day at the pool. Ahhh it’s summer! Our schedule is soooo relaxed. Ahhhh it’s summer! Let’s go for a nature-filled hike through the woods.”
And then sometime, usually mid-to-two-thirds-of-the-way through summer it turns into, “Mom! Not the pool again. Mom! I’m bored. Mom! I’m itchy and hot and thirsty.”
Sound familiar? Whatever your summer plans, they will likely include an adventure or two and many days outdoors in the sun and all of nature’s elements. So for the sake of preparedness, compiling a collection of tools to help survive summer should be at the top of the to-do list.
Can’t hide from the sun.
One of the best parts of summer is soaking up the glorious sun and banking up that precious vitamin D. But often times we spend so much time in the pool, at the beach or just playing outside that we get over-exposed and our skin is in desperate need of some extra TLC.
